INTEC and AFP Siembra announce scholarship and internship program


SANTO DOMINGO. - The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and the Pension Fund Administrator AFP Sowing announced the delivery of scholarships of annual studies for outstanding students from all over the country, through the Program INTEC with Outstanding Students (FEET), as well as the start of a internship program for the benefit of university students.

Both initiatives are contemplated in two agreements that were initialed by the rector of INTEC, Julio Sanchez Marinez y Jose Reynoso, Vice President of Finance and Investments at AFP Siembra, in a meeting held at INTEC facilities.

Julio Sánchez Maríñez, rector of INTEC stated: “This training complement will involve the direct application of the knowledge and skills of our students in the different areas of activity of AFP Siembra. It will also allow the development of skills necessary for their future professional management and the acquisition of skills in the management of computer and technical tools ”.

Sánchez Maríñez concluded by saying, “As an educational center that trains ethical, entrepreneurial and internationally competitive professionals; through an academic offer aimed at excellence, we are happy to be the study house for the young beneficiaries ”.

The PIES Scholarship Program is a pioneering initiative in supporting academically outstanding young people, and education as the foundation of economic, social and cultural development, with more than 30 uninterrupted years of history. The program has the support of dozens of companies, institutions and individuals.

José Reynoso, Vice President of Finance and Investments at AFP Siembra expressed: “Aware that education is one of the factors that most influences the growth and transformation of people and societies, it is of great satisfaction for us to sow knowledge through support for initiatives like these; as part of our training and social responsibility program, Siembra Para Ti. These efforts once again ratify our commitment to society, to be relevant and participate in the achievements of Dominicans, thus contributing to improve their quality of life, present and future ”.

Both institutions are developing initiatives that promote training and job training for new generation professionals.

The inter-institutional agreement includes financial support from AFP Siembra to sponsor annual scholarships to students who wish to pursue careers such as: Business Intelligence and Analytics, Bachelor's Degree in Financial Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media and Social Communication, Commercial Communication and advertising , Electronic Business Marketing, Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media and Social Communication, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Administration and Management, taught by INTEC.

Similarly, INTEC and AFP Siembra agreed to start a professional practice program (internships), aimed at students enrolled in the degree programs offered by the university and who have educational merits, as well as the necessary skills for the vacant.
