The Dominican Conference on Gender Studies is a permanent space for academic debate, which brings together members of the scientific, artistic and social movement communities to present the most relevant contributions to gender studies in the Dominican Republic.

Its objective is to develop an academic debate on the reality of gender relations in the Dominican Republic, disseminating research, studies and social interventions that make evident the expressions of discrimination based on gender in the country, revealing the disadvantageous consequences for women in the social, economic, political and cultural spheres to help uproot the causes that generate these inequalities.

The Center for Gender Studies of Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo CEG-INTEC has held the Dominican Conference on Gender Studies since 2003: "Building Knowledge for Equality." The Conference brings together members of the academic, scientific, artistic and social movement communities, women's and feminist organizations to analyze and disseminate the most relevant contributions of gender studies in the Dominican Republic.
