Co-curriculars

These co-curricular activities can develop your personal talent and complement your academic formation, according to our philosophy and institutional principles. They are divided into four specific areas:

Art and culture

Among the artistic and cultural activities offered by INTEC are:

  • Dance
  • INTEC Chamber Choir
  • Speech Club
  • Mimes
  • film screenings
  • Theater

The activities are voluntary, at no cost to the student, which provide a complement to the integral training seeking to foster creativity and safety outside the classroom. These are aimed at physical, mental, psychological and social development, the promotion of teamwork to develop the respect and skills necessary for professional ethical behavior.

Some of these are practiced in facilities outside the university.

Sports

The INTEC has at its disposal several sports disciplines such as:

  • Swimming

Social and Recreational

The INTEC Ecologico is a conservation group under the responsibility of the Cocurricular Unit that belongs to the Student Services Division of INTEC. It is a group made up of students and people identified with the need to preserve the biological balance, as well as survival and human development, in a world whose limitations should be of constant concern.

The Group was formed at 1984 thanks to Mr. Valentín Rivas, Professor of Ecology and Conservation of Natural Resources of the university, Dr. Ana Mercedes Henríquez and a group of medical students.

Our objectives are:

  • Help preserve our natural heritage with an objective criteria
  • Promote research to find solutions to local environmental problems
  • Educate the community to promote a rational use of resources
  • Contribute with other institutions for the preservation of biological balance

Benefits of participating in Co-curriculars

  • Athletes who stand out have the possibility of obtaining a scholarship, according to the provisions of the University Sports model of the Ministry of Sports (Vice Ministry of School and University Sports).
