Materials Testing Laboratory (LEM)

Description

It is the first testing laboratory in the Dominican Republic internationally accredited in the Metalworking branch, with the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA).

It is currently accredited under the ISO 17025 standard (current), with two test methods under the scope of its accreditation: tension in metals with ASTM E8 (current) and Rockwell hardness in metals on scales B and C with ASTM 18 (current). .

In the teaching area, practices are carried out in the Mechanics of Deformable Solids and Materials Science and Engineering Laboratories. The INTEC Materials Testing Laboratory provides services that are based on the generation and rigorous application of scientific-technical knowledge with a high level of competitiveness, such as:

The INTEC Materials Testing Laboratory provides physical and mechanical testing services for various materials and products. The table below shows the unit costs:

All these prices refer only to cases in which the client supplies the parameters for carrying out the test as well as the test tube to be tested. For cases where the client or the laboratory is unaware of the applicable standards, or attachments or test tools need to be designed, or the client needs assistance to understand and interpret the results of the report, other consulting costs apply.

Discount is applied (to the total unit cost subtracted from the total amount with taxes included) when increasing the number of tests of the same type of test (Ex: more than 7 tensile tests, or more than 7 hardness tests, etc.) :

To request a service, contact the Laboratory staff who will provide you with a "Service Request Form", after being filled out and sent by the client, the Laboratory will send you the "Service Quotation" where the date is provided. of execution of the test(s), the date of delivery of the report, among other information.
