Materials Testing Laboratory (LEM)

It is the first testing laboratory in the Dominican Republic internationally accredited in the Metalworking branch, with the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA).  

In the teaching area, the practices of the Mechanics of Deformable Solids and Materials Science and Engineering Laboratories are developed. The INTEC Materials Testing Laboratory provides services that are based on the generation and rigorous application of scientific-technical knowledge with a high level of competitiveness, such as:

• Stress (as in plastics, metals, among others) 
• Compression 
• Flexion

• fracture mechanics 
• Hardness 
• Metallography

• Micro and macro length measurements 
• Determination of Weight (Mass) of Galvanizing

Cost of Laboratory services

The INTEC Materials Testing Laboratory provides physical and mechanical testing services for various materials and products. The table below shows the unit costs:

All these prices refer only to cases in which the client supplies the parameters for carrying out the test as well as the test tube to be tested. For cases where the client or the laboratory is unaware of the applicable standards, or attachments or test tools need to be designed, or the client needs assistance to understand and interpret the results of the report, other consulting costs apply.

To request a service, contact the Laboratory staff who will provide you with a "Service Request Form", after being filled out and sent by the client, the Laboratory will send you the "Service Quotation" where the date is provided. of execution of the test(s), the date of delivery of the report, among other information.
