Water Quality Laboratory (LCA)
The INTEC Water Quality laboratory has the necessary equipment to carry out teaching and research tasks. The facilities enable the development of various practices to determine the quality of drinking and residual water through physical-chemical and bacteriological analysis.
The teaching of the laboratory is directed exclusively for the career of Civil Engineering and the Master of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering.
In the laboratory, the practices of subjects corresponding to:
Sanitary Engineering I (Drinking Water):
- Residual chlorine
- Total and fecal coliforms
- Turbidity
- PH
- Alkalinity
- Determination of optimal dose of coagulant
Sanitary Engineering II (Wastewater):
- chlorine demand
- Acidity
- Chloride determination
- Determination of dissolved oxygen.
- Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5)
- chemical oxygen demand (COD)
- Determination of solids
