Roberto Herrera is an economist graduated from the masters in Business Administration of the PUCMM and Economic Business of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Country Manager of Interenergy Holdings for the Dominican Republic.
He is vice president of the Board of Directors, and Executive Director of the Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM), General Manager of the Electricity Company of San Pedro de Macorís (CESPM) and its operator BasicRD. Member of the board of directors of CONEP, AIRD, AmchamDR and ADIE.
In the American Chamber he is second vice president and president of the Organizing Committee of the Dominican Week in the USA. He is also president of the Board of Directors of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos in the Dominican Republic, and vice-treasurer in the Fundación Sinfonía. He is an active member of the Chapter for the Dominican Republic of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Young Global Leader 2013 by the World Economic Forum and ANJE member.
Until the end of May 2011 was Deputy Country Director in the Dominican Republic of Basic Energy and Vice President of Administration of EGE HAINA and CEPM. Previously, he was Regional Manager of the Americas for Scotia Energy Limited (SEL), an international energy development company in Glasgow, Scotland.
He has been a recurring speaker at the Annual Latin American Energy Conference of La Jolla of the Institute of the Americas and at Platt's Annual Private Energy Conferences in Central America and the Annual Caribbean.
He was also president of EcoRED 2010-2016 (National Network of Business Support for Environmental Protection) and vice president of the Round Table of the Commonwealth Countries. He is currently President of the ADIE (Dominican Association of the Electrical Industry).
